Review content:
I love this place! i've been coming for years, i'm a new yorker used to go to the one on the lower east side. i loved that one as well. real old world charm. i love the salt water jacuzzi…..it's amazing, the waterfall is very strong and if you stand underneath it it's an excellent hot massage.they just added a new amenity to their list….a warm rain room….it's amazing! i love it. it's exactly what it sounds like…you stand inside enveloped by delicious warm rain, you can make it strong rain or just a little rain and the room heats up, it's lovely. the whole idea here is to go from hot to cold, hot to cold. steam in the turkish room and when your nice and toasty, take a dunk in the mini ice cold tank, then head on over to the russian room, steam out all the everyday guk and again dump an ice cold bucket of water over your head. this is a very ritualistic experience….you often see the same people there getting their fix of the russian turkish baths experience…and i'm telling you its really addicting. the feeling you have after a day of steaming, shvitzing, and cleansing is unparalleled. i feel like a new born baby when i'm done every time. i love the platza--a very unique experience. if you go you must get one of these it's simply fantastic. a natural high…they massage and wash you on the top bench of the russian room where it's the hottest. they brush you, whisk you, massage you, and then they dumk you in the ice cold pool. that's my favorite part! i love that the feel here is of a bath house versus a spa. you can stay here all day, swimming in the ocean, going back and forth from all the steam rooms and get some real russian food at the cafe. it's a great place to meet all sorts of new people, or treat a friend for an amazing EXPERIENCE!
