Best Russian Bath House South of NYC 6/24/2011

So much to do here for an excellent price. Boris & his crew run a verry efficient operation. The ice room is perfect after some time in the schvitz. The jacuzzi is best when it's almost empty of guests. All of the hydrotherapy elements make for a healthy experience. Don't forget to stop in at the cafe for some very good Russian soups or even a fresh juice. It's a great place to go with 2-3 friends. You'll finish up and get a great night's sleep. Can't wait till my next visut. more

so cool ;) 6/13/2011

I tried to try as many rooms as I could. I liked the different saunas and the jacuzzi of course. I can't wait to come back and get the dead sea salt rejuvenation. This place is so cool. more

love love love this place!! a real bath house. 10/1/2010

I love this place! i've been coming for years, i'm a new yorker used to go to the one on the lower east side. i loved that one as well. real old world charm. i love the salt water jacuzzi…..it's amazing, the waterfall is very strong and if you stand underneath it it's an excellent hot massage.they just added a new amenity to their list….a warm rain room….it's amazing! i love it. it's exactly what it sounds like…you stand inside enveloped by delicious warm rain, you can make it strong rain or just a little rain and the room heats up, it's lovely. the whole idea here is to go from hot to cold, hot to cold. steam in the turkish room and when your nice and toasty, take a dunk in the mini ice cold tank, then head on over to the russian room, steam out all the everyday guk and again dump an ice cold bucket of water over your head. this is a very ritualistic experience….you often see the same people there getting their fix of the russian turkish baths experience…and i'm telling you its really addicting. the feeling you have after a day of steaming, shvitzing, and cleansing is unparalleled. i feel like a new born baby when i'm done every time. i love the platza--a very unique experience. if you go you must get one of these it's simply fantastic. a natural high…they massage and wash you on the top bench of the russian room where it's the hottest. they brush you, whisk you, massage you, and then they dumk you in the ice cold pool. that's my favorite part! i love that the feel here is of a bath house versus a spa. you can stay here all day, swimming in the ocean, going back and forth from all the steam rooms and get some real russian food at the cafe. it's a great place to meet all sorts of new people, or treat a friend for an amazing EXPERIENCE! more

Wow, I discovered a place on Miami Beach at 5445 Collins ave. it's fantastic filled with fantastic facilities. Saw them on television and decided to take a look with my friend. We had a great time soaking in the jacuzzi, steaming it out in all the different saunas and steam rooms. We went for a swim in between sessions in the ocean. Had some food, and even a platza treatment. I loved my day. It was perfect. Looked them up on the internet: www.russianandturkishbaths had a blast definitely a must when you stop by Miami. Pros: fantastic facilities ocean water jacuzzi infrared sauna more

Not a satisfied customer 9/25/2008

I heard about this spa on TV so decided to take a trip there. This is no glamour spa. The people are nice, but its not a classy day spa. I was not happy with my visit. The ocean water Jacuzzi was okay. I got the mud treatment....it was not relaxing nor calming. The lady basically slapped on the mud went out the door a few mins then came back in and washed it off. it was all too rushed for my liking. I visited the kitchen and go the Cornish hen .. it smelled good but the meat was very tough and i found a hair in my food. The people that arrived later on were very weird. They kept kissing each other in the mouth girl on girl and guys too. I think "escorts" hand out here. This one chick asked my bf if he would like to get a room... Overall not happy with my visit to this spa. Cons: valet parking more

Best Bath House in the World 5/13/2008

Finally my second home has re-opened. The Russian Turkish Baths always gets a great review from me. I?ve waited for almost three years to soak my soar body in the hot salt water Jacuzzi after a serious session of tennis. I?ve tried going to a couple of other places but it just wasn?t the same. I only now truly realize how much I need this place. And the stories that you hear are the same. People really love this place. They have re-opened with improvements. It?s so clean here. The people are so friendly. The staff very is professional. I am very comfortable being here, and so is everyone else. I practically spend all my days off here. Every time I come it?s as if I?m having a different experience from the last time I came. If it?s a beach day which it usually is, then a quick dip in the ocean is called for. On the way back to the spa I can do a few laps in the pool. I don?t always get a treatment when I?m here but when I do it is a real treat. A meal is always a must; the traditional Russian food is delicious. You wouldn?t expect for the food to be as delicious as it is, but if you ask anybody who eats here, they know. One might think that for all of this you need to spend a lot but with a membership it turns out to be a couple of bucks more than going to the movies. If you are ever in Miami it is definitely a must experience. Pros: amazing massages, try the platza, and the authentic russian food. fantastic service. friendy. clean. more

My favorite place on Miami Beach 5/2/2008

The Russian Turkish Baths was closed for a while and now has been re-opened. I did not think they would re-open but, was non-the-less waiting patiently. Well, finally I am able to go to one of my favorite places on Miami Beach. I am so excited to tell you that it has opened with improvements. I treated myself yesterday to two treatments. A delicious oil massage ,and an intense traditional Russian platza. Both treatments were fabulous. I had an incredible day. Soaking my sore muscles in the salt water Jacuzzi after my yoga class in the baths was just what I needed. The water in the Jacuzzi is from the ocean and relived my pains, melted away my complaints and transformed me into a serene newborn baby. I also can boast about the tasty authentic Russian meal I had there, I ordered galuptze which is stuffed cabbage, they melted in my mouth. I will continue coming here every chance I get. If you are ever in Miami it?s definitely worth a visit. Pros: This is the only place of it's kind on Miami Beach. Worh a visit. more
