Review content:
Just the facts. I bought an "as is" 97 ford f150 from Lithia. Less than 10 miles(documented in their paperwork) from the dealer the transmission or the differential started vibrating. I went straight back to Lithia. I wanted out of the deal or a promise of repair. Their transmission expert insisted I overloaded the truck. I removed half of the load and made two trips. I did not drive the truck again for two weeks. I loaded four 80 lbs bags of concrete. Again, major vibration. Lithia refused to do anything. I made calls to the owner/manager and finally to corporate HQ. They did agree to look at the truck and waive the diagnosis fee. They were quick to say that if they had to open the transmission, which was likely, I would have to pay for all other labor and parts. I understand I bought an "as is" vehicle (after the salesman insisted the technicians thoroughly inspected the truck), but major problems in less than ten miles. I'll never go back to Lithia.
