On the hunt for new glasses and sick of the LensCrafters and EyeMasters of the world, I came across Mickey and the South Austin Optical Shop on a random google search. Not knowing anything more than the address and hours of operation, I stopped in late one afternoon to see what I might find.
What I found was Mickey.
Extremely professional and courteous, Mickey made me feel at home right off the bat. Instead of giving me the cursory "hello" and brushing me off (as you find at other places), he took me under his wing and went on a search for the perfect pair of glasses. Not finding the right fit that day, Mickey went out of his way to order frames especially for me--I didn't have to do any of the hard work. Moreover, he was straightforward with me regarding the shape, color and fit that I needed?in other words, he won?t let you walk out of the shop in a pair of glasses that aren?t flattering just to make a buck.
After a few weeks, we finally found the perfect pair. Affordable, comfortable and high quality, I couldn?t have asked for a better pair of glasses or a better shopping experience. I?ve also never received so many compliments about a pair of glasses before!
I?ve already recommended South Austin Optical to my friends. I highly recommend it to you as well?I doubt you will be disappointed.
