Businiess name:  Nelore Churrascaria

Review content:
After having dined at nearby churrascaria, Texas De Brazil, many times, I recently heard a friend give Nelore a really good review, so I thought I'd try it out. Compared to Texas De Brazil, Nelore is really going to have to improve the quality of the food and service or lower their prices if they hope to be successful based on my own dining experience. The complimentary valet parking was a nice touch, the salad bar was large with a lot of variety - again, not as much as Texas De Brazil, but still a lot (nothing is labled on the salad bar and there were many things I didn't recognize by site...a bit disappointing for the non-gourmet who doesn't know better). I wouldn't think Sunday night would be an "off night", and they place wasn't overcrowded, but my dining partner and I found ourselves sitting with empty plates for very long periods of time with not a server (ie "Gaucho") in site. Several food items, such as the shrimp, seemed very scarce and didn't even make it by our table once during the whole meal (same goes for the sausages, and a few others). The cuts of meat that did find their way to our table were mixed...much of it was overcooked and/or too salty, but there were a few correctly cooked pieces as well, so it wasn't all bad). This place is definitely a Texas De Brazil "wanna be" that still has a way to go if they're going to be charging about the same amount of money while not offering the same quality and ambiance as the restaurant they're trying to imitate. In short - for now at least - don't waste your time at Nelore when for the same price you can get so much better minutes away at Texas De Brazil. Pros: Parking, selection, friendly staff Cons: quality, abmience, value
