Better meat, REAL Brazilian side dishes and super-hot staff! Since they moved to Winter Park, there is no reason to drive all the way to I-Drive and sit with all of the disgusting tourists. Not to mention this place kicks Texas de Brazil's ass! Locals, this is OUR Churrascaria!! more

I absolutely loved Nelore! The price was amazing for everything that you get. The service was wonderful, the variety was fantastic, and the meat, don't get me started on how great the meat was. I will definitely be going back! Not only was the selection of beef, pork, and lamb delicious but the salad bar was top notch. In fact, to call it a salad bar is a complete understatement! Ok, here are the big winners of the night. Flank Steak - If you can get an inside piece, I recommend it. It's rare, juicy and just perfect! Bacon wrapped Filet - Seriously, need I say more? The Lobster Bisque - Out of this world! Lamb - Although some slices were a bit too salty, it was still wonderful! Cheeses - There is a great little cheese selection, any place that has dill havarti gets an A+ ***Don't fill up too much on the salad bar. Once the meat starts coming you will wish you had more room. more

Visited Nelore around 7pm on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was slow but that in no way affected the service. Servers were very attentive and the meat never stopped. I have been to Texas de Brazil and have enjoyed both restaurants. Nelore full price is $40 per adult and I believe Texas de Brazil is $50. So if you would like to save a little money try Nelore. I have been to Nelore two times, the second time was an even better experience than the first time. They did some remodeling that improved the restaurant to a higher level of accommodation, decoration and service.It is by far one of the best Brazilian Steakhouses i've been too. The salad bar includes many different types of salads and hot dishes as well. Everything looked, and tasted fresh. The meat was top notch, brought to the table constantly well grilled and served as i requested. Very different from other steakhouses I've been in the past where they were more expensive and the quality of food and service was not even close to Nelore's. Two other things that caught my attention was the extensive and well produced wine menu and cellar, also they offer free valet parking.I definitely recommend Nelore. more

We went there today for the brunch which is 10 dollars cheaper than dinner on Sunday, this was our first time at this one, but coming from the Northeast we have eaten in several others. For me and my wife the food was top notch and cooked perfect for us. The meat quality was as good as a Steak house Gourmet type rest. The service was impeccable, and the speed of delivery was awesome, even to fast. I stuck to the meat and my wife ate the sides which she really enjoyed. I did have the soup and the shrimp on the buffett which itself was huge. The waiters came over frequently changing dishes and filling up the water etc; I feel the value is excellent if you want to eat top quality umteen different meats and dozens of sides. After having dined at nearby churrascaria, Texas De Brazil, many times, I recently heard a friend give Nelore a really good review, so I thought I'd try it out. Compared to Texas De Brazil, Nelore is really going to have to improve the quality of the food and service or lower their prices if they hope to be successful based on my own dining experience. The complimentary valet parking was a nice touch, the salad bar was large with a lot of variety - again, not as much as Texas De Brazil, but still a lot (nothing is labled on the salad bar and there were many things I didn't recognize by site...a bit disappointing for the non-gourmet who doesn't know better). I wouldn't think Sunday night would be an "off night", and they place wasn't overcrowded, but my dining partner and I found ourselves sitting with empty plates for very long periods of time with not a server (ie "Gaucho") in site. Several food items, such as the shrimp, seemed very scarce and didn't even make it by our table once during the whole meal (same goes for the sausages, and a few others). The cuts of meat that did find their way to our table were mixed...much of it was overcooked and/or too salty, but there were a few correctly cooked pieces as well, so it wasn't all bad). This place is definitely a Texas De Brazil "wanna be" that still has a way to go if they're going to be charging about the same amount of money while not offering the same quality and ambiance as the restaurant they're trying to imitate. In short - for now at least - don't waste your time at Nelore when for the same price you can get so much better minutes away at Texas De Brazil. I have to tell you, Nelore is amazing. I?ve been to other Brazilian steak houses and this one is by far the best. For those of you who have never been to a churrascaria, remember to go on an empty stomach, I guarantee you will have to waddle back to the car because you?ll be so full! I was most impressed by the quality and variety of the meat they served. It seemed to me like there were more choices then places. Everything was flavorful, fork tender and delicious. Think of the best steak you've ever had and imagine having unlimited amounts of it, thats Nelore. My girlfriend and another couple went there on a sort of double date, we spent almost 2 hours there eating and chatting and having a few drinks. We ordered a couple of great bottles from Chile. Excellent wine list, I believe they even have a wine spectator award. I highly recommend this restaurant. First time I went to dinner at Nelore, it was actually Gol! the Taste of Brazil. From the outside the building didn't look that upscale, but once I was inside it was pretty darn nice! The feeling of the restaurant on the inside is very upscale, with table cloths, wine glasses, stone siding, granite salad bar, etc. Cool lighting too. However, the look / feel of the restaurant wasn't what impressed me the most. It was the incredible amount of food! The price was $40 I think for one person, but it was an all you can eat (they had other pricing if you didn't want the all you can eat). There were at least 15 meats, beef, shrimp, chicken, salmon - all being brought around by these guys in funny pants. (I think that's part of the Brazilian show!) The salad bar was awesome, so many dishes from Brazil, I filled my plate up and had basically a "dinner" just from the salad bar. The second plate I filled was with meats... way too much. I was so full. Just simply amazing. Great quality and there was ALWAYS a server at our table. Service was impeccable. I saw both families and romantic looking couples on dates. Atmosphere works for both. There was a party in the back room which didn't bother us either because the back room was completely closed off from the main dining room. Very nice wine cellar too! It's beautiful in the middle of the restaurant. Anyways, I will be back (for the third time) very soon I'm sure.
