Review content:
My husband and I went here last weekend, we are Arabic and Muslim and we are fasting for Ramadan. I took a break from cooking and went here and that was a big mistake. We decided to sit outside because it is a nice outdoor setting. Our salad, soup and hommous was very good, but once our food came, I remembered why we never liked this restaurant when we came before. I ordered chicken gallabah(like a stir fry) and he ordered baked lamb shank. His lamb was not tender at all like it's supposed to be and my gallabah...well I don't even consider it gallabah! It was bland and the chicken was dry and there was no sauce like there's supposed to be with gallabah! Then, our waiter never came to check on us... never! We had to wait and wait and then we finally got our boxes because we didn't want to waste all the food that we didn't really enjoy enough there to eat, so we took it home, hoping we'd eat it later on. We got our bill and it was around $45 dollars with our tip! $45 for what? Like I said, we are Arabic and we know the food and we have eaten at plenty other restaurants where our bill is between $25-$30 and the food is delicious. But this place, rip off!!!! If we ever, ever in our lives go back there, it will not be for the food or service, it will be for a smoothie to enjoy outside. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if it is their first time trying Arabic food, once they eat here, they'll think all Arabic food is nasty! I recommend Al-Ameers in Dearborn, Royal Kabob in Hamtramck and Sheba in Hamtramck! Those are delicious!
