Review content:
I have spent close to $1500 dollars at this spa for what, at best, could be considered an incomplete laser hair removal process. They seem to have a high turnover rate on technicians, which should have been my first clue. However, on at least two (possibly three) separate occasions, I had a technician who was being paid to do a Brazilian and just didn't. One other occasion, she missed entire areas, so what I have is blotchy and needs further assistance. I was planning to come back here and work with them further, until a very close friend I referred told me they refused to work on her. She has a treated seizure disorder which is unaffected by light; however the technician was afraid to assist her, citing that she could lose her license if my friend were to have a seizure (incorrect from what I heard from the licensing board). My friend left embarrassed and feeling like, at best, she needed to go back to a 1960s mentality and lie to people about her disorder. I called a number of other spas locally, including Emerge Day Spa, which is where my business will now be going. They said that they not only weren't "afraid" of this sort of issue, they take precautions for those who do have seizures. What a complete turnaround from the discriminatory attitudes we have run into at Skin Deep & Beyond - a definite "Don't Go" in my book.
Pros: Easily accessible
Cons: incomplete job, discrimination
