Review content:
Although I would like to, I really cannot recommend Dr. Brad Elkins. After obtaining my medical records following LASIK surgery, it was discovered that Brad Elkins deliberately withheld important findings about my eyes that represented increased risk. In addition, without my consent, he ignored the equipment manufacturer’s FDA-approved guidelines and performed an “off-label” procedure, decentered the LASIK treatment in BOTH of my eyes, and caused damage and pain that I am now told may not be correctable. During follow-ups, he continued to keep these findings from me until they were confirmed by other physicians. This type of unethical and deceitful behavior is inexcusable for a physician entrusted with the well-being of his patients and, especially, for a physician who is a member of FACS. It is clear that Brad Elkins is motivated primarily by greed, not the welfare of his patients, and I would certainly not recommend that you entrust your eyes to him.
