Review content:
Well, my experience with Hogan Auctioneering has not been positive. Joe Hogan is quite personable when picking up your merchandise but usually quite unavailable when you have questions (you have to keep calling them to get him.) Their print-outs from sales, as a means of accounting for merchandise consigned, don't seem to carry much in the way of accuracy. Joe stated to me that some things were broken, but of course not by him, and others were sold later that were marked as unsold on their printout. Also, Joe seems little bothered by the fact that he is, as he admitted, in breach of contract regarding the payment of money for merchandise. The contract called for money to be paid 30 business days from the sale date. We received two postdated checks, one dated for 45 days after the sale, the other dated 58 days after the sale. His excuse that he is trying to work with the buyers...well, how do I know what they're paying him? Quite frankly, I would not recommend Hogan Auctioneering to anyone who is seeking this type of service.
