They get the job done for the highest imaginable price. We have a rule in our house - NEVER CALL GILLECE. Most recent experience - I had a small leak in a gas valve serving a fireplace. I called Gillece, knowing it was a minor repair, and agreed to the "trip charge" or $65.00, to be applied to the total charge. The estimate was $650.00. I sent Gillece away and fixed the leak myself for a total cost of $2.50 (two dollars and fifty cents) for parts from Home Depot. The other instance involved a quote for a new high efficiency furnace. Gillece quoted $8,500.00. I got the same furnace installed and with the same warranty from Alberts Pluming and Heating for $5,500. That's a difference of three thousand. GILLECE GOUGES ON PRICE
