My first couple of visits I was able to obtain basic repair items such as tubes without trouble. The 'owner' was always available and attentive. A recent visit made it so that I would never enter the 'shop' again. The 'owner' managed to alienate me in a period of under 5 minutes. May be business is good enough that my $10.00 item isn't enough to be friendly or professional. I never had any hopes for the shop beyond it being a local source for last minute items. My experience guaranteed that I would do without, or if need be, drive to a shop in a neighboring town for any needed items. I have lived in many different areas in CT and other states, and have visited many different shops of all levels. Hometown family shops, pro shops, garage based operations. Until this shop I could always find a redeeming quality in any shop, which would bring me back. With a long background, years ago in the bicycle industry, I understand the trials and tribulations of a small bike shop. I however, never could dream of the attitude I encountered.
