Every time I visit this shop, the work I need is done well, quickly, and is reasonably priced; plus, they always have the accessories I need in stock. I guess that's what I want in a bicycle shop. The only downside is they don't always have every size bicycle immediately in stock. more

I've taken my bike other places where seasonal youngsters poke and tweak it, and I notice no improvement. Here, the owner does all the repair work himself, and personally gurantees it to be perfect, or you can bring it back, free. Needless to say, I didn't have to take him up on that. That's the big difference. Thanks for the superior job! My bike works better than when it was new! more

I picked up my bike today after you performed a tune up. I took it for a quick ride this afternoon you did a Great Job on the bike it rides amazing, it shifts through the gears smoother than EVER, it brakes cleanly and rides quieter than it has ever ridden. My first couple of visits I was able to obtain basic repair items such as tubes without trouble. The 'owner' was always available and attentive. A recent visit made it so that I would never enter the 'shop' again. The 'owner' managed to alienate me in a period of under 5 minutes. May be business is good enough that my $10.00 item isn't enough to be friendly or professional. I never had any hopes for the shop beyond it being a local source for last minute items. My experience guaranteed that I would do without, or if need be, drive to a shop in a neighboring town for any needed items. I have lived in many different areas in CT and other states, and have visited many different shops of all levels. Hometown family shops, pro shops, garage based operations. Until this shop I could always find a redeeming quality in any shop, which would bring me back. With a long background, years ago in the bicycle industry, I understand the trials and tribulations of a small bike shop. I however, never could dream of the attitude I encountered. more

I was in to have my bike repaired following a flat which left me conveniently stranded withing 200 Feet of this bike shop. My initial visit was very nice. We agreed on work that was needed and I left. When I returned 3 days later to pick up my bike. I had a lot of questions. My bike seemed different. Although it turns out that I was wrong. The owner was extremely out of line. He used off-color language and kicked me out. After he stormed off on his bike, someone came out of a near by shop and told me that this fellow swears and yells at many customers. I will not return. more

Bicycle South WIndsor is the shop where I have gotten my bicycles repaired as well as bought new bicycles since I was 12 years old. They offer full tuneups for only 35 dollers, and the staff/owner there is extreamly knowlegeable, if not a little unfrriendly at times. However, you will never get as good a bike from any department store or chain retail - this place really knows bikes and the people who ride them. more
