Review content:
I threw my back out in the morning, and waited until the evening to be seen. I thought I could just let it pass, but no. It was so bad I decided to go to the CSJ ER. The ER waiting room was dingy and dirty looking. There was vomit on the floor that remained there the entire 3.5 hours I waited to be seen. I finally was taken to a bed and was subsequently treated like human trash by the doctor who saw me once he assessed that my back pain was not bad enough to paralyze me. He read all my past pain med scripts loudly enough so that the elderly couple in the next bed (and anyone else in the room) could hear and told me to ice my back. (Let it be known that none of these scrips were for back pain save for one a year ago after throwing my back out like this. All were for surgeries or from my OB.) He then told me that he has back pain, and his son has had back surgery, and neither of them take anything. I didn't come into the ER looking for narcotic medication. He didn't even offer me an ice pack after repeatedly telling me that ice would help it. I left feeling violated and like I had done something wrong for wanting to not have to hobble around for the whole day before I could get in with my doctor. I will never go to this hospital for anything again.
