I don't care if this shop does have the best cakes in town. The shamefully poor customer service has driven me away and I'll be sure to tell every single person I know about it.
Let's completely forget the fact that they don't have a website (!!! hello, it's 2008!) and they never. ever. ever. answer their phone. Never. Have a question? Tough. There's no website. They don't answer the phone.
The snarky, rude, grumpy, scowling, MEAN old woman who runs the front counter has absolutely NO business being anywhere NEAR the shop, much less be allowed to be THE FACE THE STORE PRESENTS TO THE COMMUNITY. She frightened my children (mommy, was she a witch? she scared me.) and drove me right out the door.
Never. I'll never ever buy so much as a hot crossed bun from that shop. I'd just as soon serve Saltines with peanut butter than buy a cake from Desserts by Kelly.
