I would have to say although most items on their menu are pretty good, they have the worst customer service ever! I actually avoid going in at all anymore unless having an extremely important occasion. If the older woman that generally helps you would even smile it would be a great improvement. more

Good: I love every thing about Desserts by Kelly. All of the baked goods are excellent. Yes, I've tried most of them. The prices for their delicious gourmet cakes are very comparable to grocery prices for their ordinary sheet cakes. We will never buy another cake from anywhere else. We have found the petite lady behind the counter to be delightful. She has always been kind and very helpful. Desserts by Kelly is truly one of the tri-cities best treasures.. Bad: I have not found anything objectionable about Desserts by Kelly.. Improvements: I would like the wait time between ordering a cake and pick-up to be a little shorter. This has not made a difference in my trips there or ordering though. It is definitely worth the wait.. Other: Some of the reviews have criticized the customer service at Desserts by Kelly. I have never had that experience. I hope people won't let those comments keep them from visiting the bakery. It is worth giving a try!. more

The desserts are by far the best I've tasted in a long while and beautiful as well. Unfortunately the individuals who work and run the shop are mean, sharp tongued and treat each person as if they wish they were dead or out of their face. Maybe these people should open a shop in New York where that kind of treatment is considered normal? Not in the tri-cities....we love the desserts but the attitude is sour. more

I don't care if this shop does have the best cakes in town. The shamefully poor customer service has driven me away and I'll be sure to tell every single person I know about it. Let's completely forget the fact that they don't have a website (!!! hello, it's 2008!) and they never. ever. ever. answer their phone. Never. Have a question? Tough. There's no website. They don't answer the phone. The snarky, rude, grumpy, scowling, MEAN old woman who runs the front counter has absolutely NO business being anywhere NEAR the shop, much less be allowed to be THE FACE THE STORE PRESENTS TO THE COMMUNITY. She frightened my children (mommy, was she a witch? she scared me.) and drove me right out the door. Never. I'll never ever buy so much as a hot crossed bun from that shop. I'd just as soon serve Saltines with peanut butter than buy a cake from Desserts by Kelly. more

My family has ordered every birthday, graduation, and shower cake from here for as long as I can remember. We have also purchased our pies from here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have never heard a single complaint about the desserts here! They are the kind of cakes that melt in your mouth! The frosting is great too - and I am not a frosting girl! I can't stand store bought frosting, there is always way too much of it and it is always has too much sugar. On these cakes, you can't get enough of it! I can't complain about the cake designs either, simple but beautiful. Not over the top. If you need to get desserts for any occasion in the Tri-Cities you need to go to Desserts by Kelly. As a side note, my favorite is the chocolate cake with raspberry filling! more

Desserts by Kelly features custom, handmade desserts with the finest ingredients. Yeah the prices seem a little high but the taste is fabulous. You can take in a napkin or a color sample from your upcoming party and they will create a cake or dessert that fits it spot on. If you don't know exactly what you need they will help you figure it out from the ground up, by showing a pricing list and also notebooks full of photos of desserts they've done. They do cakes for all occasions, particularly children's birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and baby shower cakes that looked just as fabulous as I'm sure they tasted. Too cute to cut into! They also sell desserts by single serve sizes too so you can go here for coffee and dessert too and eat at the tables inside. more
