My family moved to old saybrook over the summer and I choose "Dr." Edmonstone as my daughters pediatric dentist because of the review I saw online, well let me tell you what a mistake that was!!!! The first visit was fine when my daughter was calm and didn't make a peep, I was impressed with how he drilled her teeth with out causing any fear i had explained to him how she had a bad experience with her previous dentist and she was very apprehensive about coming to him, well the second visit was today and my daughter who just turned 6 was feeling nervous and was crying well he forged foward and gave her the novicane wich was fine but when he started to work on her she started crying and squirming around a bit and he was still coming at her with instruments telling her she was to old to behave this way and she needed to stop and when she almost gagged from him trying to continue the procedure he told me they were going to have to "wrap her up, or make another appointment because she is to old to misbehave like this" well I'm sorry but I think a little girl crying because she is nervous about a drill coming at her isn't misbehaving , I think a pediatric dentist should maybe be a little more patient and not berate a child who is already scared of dentists, this man had about as much understanding and compassion as a robot,I would NEVER go there or EVER recommend anybody send there child there.
