Last Saturday I went to Freehold Ford to purchase a 2007 Ford Ranger. They quoted me a very good price on the model I wanted, but it was on another lot. So, I signed a Purchase Agreement and gave them a check for $500. They told me to come back on monday to finish the financing and I could take the truck home.
I returned on Monday and much to my surprise, they sold the truck to someone else after I left! They had also cashed my $500 check and refused to refund the money to me. They then told me that they had no more trucks in the model I wanted and tried to sell me a 2008 for a lot more money. I don't know for a fact about what happened, but I'm pretty sure they found someone else who would pay more than me after I left the dealership Saturday afternoon.
So, now I have no truck and I am out $500. Needless to say, I'll be seeing them in court. I would never ever buy a vehicle from this dealership. They are clearly underhanded.
