I have getting heating oil from Genesee for several years now and the service has been great from day one. When I bought my house I had no clue about oil. My house had been previously serviced by Rossoe, but when I called them I was treated as if I was an interruption in their day, then I was shuffled off to sales person who seemed to put the hard sell on me without listening to what I needed..which was simply an explanation of how heating oil works. My next call was to Seelig but they seemed like a fly-by-night operation...answering machine on the first call, when they called back all they could do is constantly slam other companies (always a red flag in my book). So I finally called Genesee on a referral from my neighbor who had been with them for 30 some years. They were great. A very nice person in the office explained how oil works, got my account set up, and gave me a free tune up. All I can say is that every interaction with them is a great experience...rare to find these days. When I call them they are friendly and not pushy. The service technicians have been knowledgeable and clean. I now get biodiesel from Genesee which they are a leader in. I really like the fact that they care enough about the environment to offer biodiesel. I know that most companies can get things right sometimes, but Genesee seems to get it right all the time.
