Review content:
I have had the opportunity to eat at The Hungry Hobo restaurant in Cedar Rapids and the one in Marion and have been pleased on each visit. My two sons, with teenage appetites, always get filled up without ordering additional items, my husband loves the "Railsplitter" (the Hungry Hobo sandwiches makes the competitors sandwiches look bad...real bad!), my 3 year old daughter thinks the PB&J kids meal is pretty cool...BUT the reason for this review is the TACO TATER. An extra large baked potato, chili, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and taco chips, this is truly one of my favorite things! The first time I ordered the Taco Tater, I was going to order a sandwich too, but after talking to the friendly owner, I decided not to. It was more than plenty, in fact, I couldn't finish it.
Although we don't live in the Cedar Rapids area, we make it a point to go there when we are in town visiting. The restaurants are ALWAYS spotless, the staff is ALWAYS very friendly and the food tastes great and is priced right!
The Hungry Hobo catered our wedding and the party subs were such a hit, tasted great, looked great and fed a lot of people. I have also called in orders to be delivered to my colleagues in Cedar Rapids. The order was made fresh and delivered promptly.
Whoever came up with their slogan "Easy to Find, Hard to Resist" did a great job...I couldn't have said it better myself!
