Review content:
Small class size is the greatest aspect of Flagler College. It is no lie that the professors will know student's names and expect a level of interaction with students that will be crucial to their grades. Class sizes average around 20, fostering a very open learning atmosphere. There is always time to ask questions. Living on campus was not the nicest experience as there were no comfortable common areas, and the student lounge was either converted into an art gallery or was closed, or was open but the equipment for the pool table would be locked up, or the girl hired to keep an eye on the lounge would reserve the only TV for her friends. The only common areas, (the only areas where boys could hang out with girls on this no-inter dorm campus) were usually filthy and furnished with broken TVs and stained, broken furniture. The construction of the student center will hopefully remedy these situations for prospective students and the College is wonderful if one is living off campus and doesn't have to deal with the lack of social areas and hot water. Security is also rather ineffective. Flagler's standards are also lower than they should be, which is evident in the SAT scores of incoming students and misspellings in the school newspaper. A beautiful school with so many majors and talented professors could stand to be a bit more stringent.
