Review content:
I was sued by my landlord 1 year after he verbally and in writing agreed to let me out of my lease early. I requested to be released due to a job change and loss of child support - I simply could not afford it. I have the statement from the homeowner addressing cancelling the lease but the Law Office will not accept it. I went to court and made arrangements to pay the suit. 2 months later I became very ill and was hospitalized for 4 days with a serious staph infection - I was so ill I was incoherent - I couldn't work. I was home for a month on intravenous antibiotics after my discharge.I was late for a payment during this time and the firm took me back to court and sued for the full damages. In the meantime I had sent the payment. Because they did not update their file with my new address I was not aware of the judgement. I called the office and was basically told it was to bad that I was sick and that I should have called. I couldn't remember 2 entire weeks let alone to call them.
Response time on phone calls is horrendous. I truly feel victimized by this firm and their intimidation tactics. They do take advantage of those with minimal knowledge of the law.
