Harriman Army-Navy is legendary in these parts. People come from all over the tri-state region to purchase brands like Carhartt, Columbia, Woolrich, Levis and Lees, Redwing Boots Wolverine-Bates, etc. But wait, that's not the best part. The store has a women's department which has some of loveliest fashions around. I kid you not. Owner Madelyn Goldberg with the able assistance of her partner and daughter, Jenny, operate this large store which is just filled shelf to shelf and room to room with clothing, accessories, paintball supplies, military apparel and police and uniform clothing and supplies. Enter the store, any day except Monday when they're closed and you'll go right for the men's department and left for the women's salon. I shop in both sections for me and the men in my life. Got a great pea coat here for my son nearly six years ago that he still wears. Maddy has impeccable taste and she takes pride in offering a selection of the latest, in season special occasion garments (including evening wear) which are perfect for proms and formal events like weddings, sweet sixteen, and other dressy events. From cocktail to mother's of the bride/mother's of the groom, you can find beautiful clothes here and are treated to outstanding customer service. Don't see your size? Place a special order and have it altered right here. Prices are reasonable and the seamstresses can make any garment look like it made just for you. It's not uncommon to see the local fire department, police or other uniformed officer in here. Service is professional and helpful. A testament to this store's longevity is the many repeat buyers who've shopped here for years and continue to order several pairs of their favorite work pants year after year. Looking for casual or active clothes? Shop here for the latest in tops, slacks, capris, shoes, dresses, jewelry, handbags and accessories. All under one roof. Can't get to the store. Check out their website at www.ruggedstuff.com (military surplus and work clothing).
