Review content:
The Punjabi Dhaba is certainly an experience. Friends familiar with India tell me this is about as close as we'll get in Somerville to roadside Indian food - fast, cheap and a little greasy. The atmosphere is no-frills and hectic, with music and kitchen-yelling and crowds. If you eat on the main floor prepare to be surrounded by hungry takeout customers. There's more seating upstairs. The food is good and if you eat it there you get the full traditional silver-tray service. Get your lassis from the fridge case. The perfect place for you Indian food fix when you don't feel like dealing with a restaurant.
