We love Indian food, so for a fix in our new neighborhood, we went to Punjabi Dhaba. The place is small, and we chose to sit down amidst the crowds coming in and out and smushing against our table. We received our food in good time and began to eat it. At first, I was craving Indian food so badly that I couldn't get enough. And then reality set in... it was Indian food, but not great Indian food. It was heavy on the grease instead of spices, and my husband's pineapple lassi was not impressive. We paid about $20 for two entrées, the lassi, and naan, which would have been fine if the food was worthy. In the end, we were full, but not satisfied.
