ok, i don't even LIKE mochi. but if it's wrapped around bubbie's ice cream, somehow it's transformed into something magically delicious. the other boxed stuff in the costco freezer section can't even come close. the BEST BEST BEST mochi ice cream is in the summer, when the have the special seasonal MANGO flavor. alas, last year was a terrible year for mangoes and thus, i was deprived of their freshly made mango mochi ice cream made from scratch. i am crossing my fingers, saying my prayers and rubbing my lucky rabbit's foot that we'll be drowning in mangoes this summer (thought it's not looking good right now...). but in the meantime, i'll glad settle for lychee, peanut butter chocolate and chocolate mint. p.s. there are many many other ice cream desserts offered, many with ridiculous (and some find, offensive) names. however, i've never even made it past the mochi ice cream...and it's been 6 years since i've discovered bubbies!
