I had not been to Offshore's until last week. I had heard so many good things from friends and neighbors so I finally gave it a try. Wow, what an upgrade for the Lake Highlands area. Great patio and I really enjoy the reggae music. It strikes me as a place you'd find down on the coast. COLD beer, big portions and spicy food. I especially like the servers because they are quite friendly and seemed genuinely glad that we were there. This place is the genuine article and is a real bargain. We were there on a Friday night and it was packed. It is a small, cozy place. The frozen hurricanes are potent and the atmosphere is really upbeat. We asked about oysters on the half shell and were told that they'll be available when the water in the gulf gets cold. I appreciate that type of information. Fantastic etouffee, cold beer, great music and right here a couple of blocks away from home. I'll be a regular down there. Pros: Fantastic bar, ample parking, COLD beer, strong drinks, great reggae music, beautiful patio Cons: It is a smaller place and very cozy so on Friday night I would go early or after 8:30
