I'm happy that coffeegal has a very positive experience, but was a little curious about her plea for compassion for the owner's behavior. A number of people in town are or were involved in small businesses and understand all the stress involved. But for months I've heard about a gradual change in the tone of this salon, and not for the better. Again, to be fair the decline was mostly around trying to get appointments and the hair cutting staff. Since it opened, many people I know were going to this business and paying a good amount of money. There's recently been enough bad buzz in the air that I feel someone must have earned it. When I think of a "spa" environment, I look for a little calmness in the atmosphere, not uncomfortable back chat between the people in the hair salon area. If they expect me to open my wallet every couple of months, I really think that that part of their business must also become a more pleasant experience. I include both what I receive during my appointment for hair cuts and color as well as the conversations these professionals have during my appointment. I hope, if they're back on the road to improving these things that they find success. Pros: local availability to several services Cons: still in the learning stage?
