Review content:
My husband and I went out to La Strada for our first wedding anniversary. We also just had a baby, so we were both looking forward to a night out without him. My husband got a dinner reservation on a Saturday night-which I was impressed with. That ended when we walked in the door. This place is very noisy and we had to wait to be seated. The hostess wasn't very professional and our server seemed overwhelmed. I had the sea scallops with a saffron risotto. I make risotto myself, and can honestly say that I considered sending my meal back-something I have never done. The scallops tasted fishy and not fresh (or even fresh frozen), and the risotto was THE worst thing I've ever tasted-not well done in the least. My husband had the veal parmigiana, and they didn't even get that right. We ordered soup-the lobster bisque and the french onion. Both tasted very watered-down, something I might understand at the very end of a busy night, but we were dining at 6:30. If you are looking for a decent meal, I'd look elsewhere. If you want to watch prom couples and wait for a table, go here. Not impressive in the least.Sorry, La Strada, I really wanted to like you.
