Review content:
This is my first review. Ippei is one of my favorite Japanese food restaurants in the Phoenix area, but I have one issue with the atmosphere. When it first opened, authentic Japanese music was played. Recently they began playing classic American rock etc. Not the greatest in my opinion. The Japanese music was a great way to escape from everyday American idiosyncrasy. The sushi is delicious and fresh and the veggie and meat skewers are flavorful, but the price for the skewers is much too high for the amount of food you get. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. Friday and Saturday nights are perfect. There is a lot going on but not so much to the point where you have to wait 30 minutes for a table. Good stuff. Go there.
Pros: Food, Service, decor
Cons: Music, high prices
