My name is Mitzi Palmer and I am the director of Children's Faith Academy. I was informed of this website and the remarks that have been made. On behalf of the school and myself, I am making the following statements: --We are a Christian preschool and everyone currently employed hold strong Christian beliefs. --There was one occurrence of a "suspected" head lice case. The child was sent home and a note that day, April 10, 2008 was sent home to each of the families in the particular classroom. --There was not a case of staph infection. The medical report concluded a different diagnosis which did not warrant a notice to the parents according to the State of Texas Dept. of Childcare Licensing. --The child, who had hand, foot, and mouth disease, was not in class during the time of infection and again did not warrant a notice to the parents according to the State of Texas Dept. of Childcare Licensing. --Ants on the playground are treated regularly and Pest Bear, Inc. treats the playground and the school on a quarterly basis. --Children's Faith Academy holds the highest rating for licensure by the State of Texas Department of Childcare Licensing.
