Children's Faith Academy

My name is Mitzi Palmer and I am the director of Children's Faith Academy. I was informed of this website and the remarks that have been made. On behalf of the school and myself, I am making the following statements: --We are a Christian preschool and everyone currently employed hold strong Christian beliefs. --There was one occurrence of a "suspected" head lice case. The child was sent home and a note that day, April 10, 2008 was sent home to each of the families in the particular classroom. --There was not a case of staph infection. The medical report concluded a different diagnosis which did not warrant a notice to the parents according to the State of Texas Dept. of Childcare Licensing. --The child, who had hand, foot, and mouth disease, was not in class during the time of infection and again did not warrant a notice to the parents according to the State of Texas Dept. of Childcare Licensing. --Ants on the playground are treated regularly and Pest Bear, Inc. treats the playground and the school on a quarterly basis. --Children's Faith Academy holds the highest rating for licensure by the State of Texas Department of Childcare Licensing. more

Well my child will not be returning. I feel that Mitzi Palmer has blatantly lied by omission to the parents. Does anyone know that there was a case of staph infection, hand foot and mouth disease, lice, horrible ant infestation in the playground mulch, among others, and Mitzi Palmer informed the staff not to let the parents know. That means no notes went home alerting the parents..Why?? She didn't want to pay a professional cleaning company. Mitzi Palmer is not the "good Christian woman" that she would have you believe she is. I am currently looking into the "real" story of why Fellowship Kids ended their school. Palmer does not have your child's best interest at heart. I'm happy that her true colors are finally showing through.
