When we bought our second house in Portland, our original agent had moved, so we went with an agent recommended by a friend.
It was the best decision we made in the home buying process.
Vickie Brooks with John L. Scott really went the extra mile for us. She was patient with us and spent so much time with us. Much of the time we had our 3 kids with us, including a newborn.
The home buying market was so intense at that time and we pretty much had hours to make an offer on any home we were interested in, and homes usually stayed on the market for a few days.
When we found the house we wanted, it was at the top of our price range and we were sure that there would be plenty of offers and that we would not get the house. Well, there were plenty of offers, but the sellers accepted OUR offer. Why?? Our Realtor, Vickie Brooks wrote a letter with a profile of our family, and the couple selling the house really thought we would fit into the neighborhood because of that family profile.
Vickie Brooks keeps in touch with us in wonderful and fun ways. She sent us 2 cent stamps when the postage rate was raised so we wouldn't have to run out to the post office. She brought over a cute little gift bag on the 4th of July with sparklers for the kids and other fun things.
I have been waiting to find someone who is looking for a Realtor so I could recommend her. She is absolutely wonderful.
