Don Pepe Restaurant is a very popular restaurant in the Newark area, well known for its fresh lobster, which is available all year round. Diners have their choice of preparations and can choose the size of their lobster ranging anywhere from a hefty two pounds to a gigantic eight-pounds.
Don Pepe also offers a variety of meats, including filet mignon flambe, broiled sirloin steak served with the specialty sauce of the house and veal chops done in a mouth-watering brandy and mushroom sauce.
No Spanish restaraunt would be complete without paella and they make the most delicioius Paella Marinera and the portions are large, really its enough for two people. In fact all their portions are large so most likely you'll need a doggy bag.
All of Don Pepe's main dishes range in price from $14.50 to $27.50. There is also an extensive wine list.
The mural-lined walls of Don Pepe's dining rooms make for a casual but attractive atmosphere and the mood is always lively, since the restaurant is always hopping.
Definitely the place to eat if your in Newark or the area.
