My friend recommended the Hedonism salon to me and said "whatever you do ? see CK!" This is a really nice salon and day spa. It?s just a couple of blocks from 3rd Street Promenade (6th/Santa Monica Blvd.). Inside, the salon/spa is beautiful ? very large and relaxing. From the minute I walked in, everyone on the staff I met was friendly and professional. I was offered something to eat and drink, and the front desk staff introduced me to my ?hair artist? CK. The title made me a little skeptical, but I knew I was in good hands right away. He started by asking me what I wanted and what I liked and if I had any particular issues with my hair he should address. Then, after the best shampoo I?ve ever had (complete with neck massage and hot towels), he went to work. I?m always a little nervous when I get a haircut ? especially from a new stylist - but CK was so confident in his work that it gave me confidence, too! He took his time and colored and styled my hair exactly as we had discussed. The best part is, my hair has kept the nice look and style as it grows out ? it just keeps looking better! But even better was the color - this man knows color. He colored the gray and put in beautiful highlights ? and my hair was still so shiny even after the color was done. I?ve had my hair cut in salons all over LA (including Beverly Hills), but CK is a real find. It is nearly impossible to find a stylist who can both cut and color. There are other stylists there who I am sure are good, but if you want guaranteed great service and style, my friend was right? see CK!
