Just moved from NY to CA....decided to use Lighningn Van Lines (BAD BAD CHOICE)
Anyone using this company better insure themself.....
Since my employer paid for the move I opted for the full service incl packing.
1) Movers took 4 days more than told
2) Was told full service incl "unpacking"....LIE
3) Movers did NOT use wardrobe boxes & rather than just packing the clothes together, found more convenient to pack $1000 suits with my pots & pans.. (hope a trip to the dry cleaners will solve the matter)
4) Broken glasses.
5) Broken picture frames.
6) Broken vacum cleaner
7) Worst of all OLD vase (from my Grandmothers estate) broken.
None of the above will add much up using the 60 cents pr lbs insurance, but shows a moving company that rather than move peoples belongings, should be in the business of TRASH hauling.
