I walked in about a year ago to see if they may have had a cancellation on a spur of the moment trip to Birkdale. Big mistake. The receptionist looked so repulsed that I would even deign to defile the salon with my presence. I spoke with her for a few moments to see when I would be able to get an appointment in the next week and it was apparent she thought I was way below her station in life and an insult for me to continue to speak with her. As I turned to leave, a very effeminate male made the loud comment, "WE WILL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN" before I was even out the door. I called later to cancel my appointment and then telephoned someone at the main office (I think it was the main office, it may have been another Modern Salon) to let them know why. I cannot even begin to say what a disappointment this was. I have never been treated with such disrespect by anyone in my life and it was quite humiliating. Not to worry though, the people at Varji and Varji are very kind and I am more than happy to give those smiling, polite professionals my hard earned money.
