Review content:
I always enjoy seeing new interesting looking places opening up, and I was overdue to check out The Courtyard. The setting is inviting, but unfortunately the food and the sangrias do not live up to the potential of the place.
It is not rocket science to mix a flavorful sangria, yet they fail miserably. I sent the blend peach sangria back, only to get a watered down regular one, in which fruits (only apples!?) seem to have been thrown in as an afterthought. It was clearly watered down and lacked that 'latin excitment' which I was hoping for.
The menu has quite a bit to offer, yet it is fairly uninventive. We tried a few and stopped ordering after the third tapas and called it a night.
When I read all the great reviews, I can't help but think that my expectations are too high or is it that people in general are easily pleased? I was re-assured to see similar posts. In conclusion, while the waiters were cute/nice, the culinary experience just doesn't cut it... I do not recommend the place.
Pros: ????
Cons: Food + sangrias
