I went to Strata on a Saturday night in October '08 for the first time for a friend's birthday party. I spent an hour and a half on line and it's a good thing that I knew a few people and was able to cut the line or else I doubt I would have got in at all. I got to the club about 11:30 and there was a line down to the next corner. Upon finally entering the club I receieve the most agressive pat-down I've ever had in my life. Then I was told of the $25 cover charge. My friend's guestlist was closed by the time I got in. I only spent half an hour in the club but it was very lame. The music was decent but the crowd was young and pretentious. There was a main room with hip-hop and a side room with salsa. Both weren't that crowded to where the line had to be down to the next corner. I'd say this club is NOT worth the price of admission. It's a place where people who've just turned 21 can't wait to spend their money at to brag to their friends that they went to. Pros: DJ was decent Cons: Absurd line and waiting time. Price, Crowd, Security, Etc...
