I have been to Strata twice and both times I was unimpressed, more like disgusted by the place. I went the first time a few years ago for a friend's birthday and, though the music was good, I thought that the crowd left much to be desired. I went again last night, for another birthday party, and was simply awed at the low class people, service and ambience at this place. We were on a guest list and after we gave our names and got some tickets, we still had to pay a $20 cover charge. The people there were absolutely unclassy and rude. There was even a fight , apparently a guy hadn't paid his child support and the girl caught him out!! I mean COME ON!!!!!!! I am not one of those upper east side snobs, however, the people that go to this place seem a bit too street and dangerous for my taste. Anyhow, my recommendation is: if you are looking for a good time where you don't want to be afraid of a shoot out at any second, stay away from this place!!!
Pros: Good location!
Cons: Everything else!
