Review content:
I went to Avalon twice. Once to have my hair cut and highlighted and for a couples massage. My cut was good but the hairdresser put foil highlights in with bleach and I ended up with awful stripes, she went way way to light so I never went back for hair salon services.
For the couples massage it was also just an okay experience. At the time of our appointment we were put in a little tv room for about 5-10 minutes, I figured they weren't ready for us....But the tv volume was blaring and I just thought it was rude. The massages were divine however our time was up an hour after the appointment started. So our 1 hour massage included a 5-10 minute wait in a room, and getting undressed and waiting for the therapists to come in. This wouldn't have been so awful if they apologized or didn't charge like a high end spa.
The atmosphere and decor is trendy, modern and cool like you would imagine a spa to be like in NYC or LA but they have a long way to go in customer service to fit the image of a trendy upscale salon you would find in a large city.
