Review content:
This was the worst Japanese Restaurant I have ever been in for over 20 years. I am a mother of 2
toddlers and am currently pregnant. As usual when my family dines out especially with toddlers, who have
their hands on everything and spill their food out of their plates, I clean the table which we are going to
eat at. After prepaying for my meal and the food was brought to the table I asked
the waitress if I could please have another plate for my son and she turned her back on me while I was
still talking. The next incident was when I had ordered at the front counter for a take out for my
grandmother and the hostest asked me if I was Chinese. What a weird question but as a common
courtesy I answered, yes I am (Chinese American Citizen). After hearing my answer she immediately
spoke in her language to a man in a non-friendly manner , backed up at the counter stairing at me with
her hands folded on her chest. The man approached me. He then said for me to not clean the table
because they clean the table already and it is clean. Well, the term clean is not the same for everyone
especially during the cold and flu season. I had explained to them that I did not know that I was not
suppost to clean my own table which we were going to eat at after all there was no sign. During this
incident I felt hurt that I was being corrected after paying this restaurant over 30.00 for that night and
I felt angry that they were discriminating. The question if "I was Chinese" and the series of events that had
occured after that has made me feel that they were judging me of my ethnicity. I hope when you select your
dining for tonight that you think about what kind of experience you would want to have before you eat at this
restaurant.
Pros: okay price
Cons: Discriminating and rude
