Monterrey's isn't my favorite Mexican restaurant in the world (yet it is one of my best friend's favorites!) but it does the trick when you're in the mood for Mexican food at a sit-down restaurant.
It's a little over priced in my opinion and the chips and salsa are a tad on the salty side, but the outdoor patio in the summer is fun and you can't beat the SPEED at which the food is brought out. It's shocking how quickly they prepare food and bring it to your table! Perfect for people with children.
Oddly enough, their margaritas consistently give me a stomachache and I'm not alone - the same thing happens to a friend of mine. But this won't keep me from going back…it will just keeps me from ordering that particular drink!
One money saving option my boyfriend and I discovered was to split the fajitas. It worked out perfectly - plenty of food for both of us and cheaper than buying two meals (sounds cheap, I know, but remember, the menu is over priced in my opinion!). Just ask for an extra plate of sides, rice, and beans and you'll be all set!
