Review content:
I am an “older” man but had (until now) never been hospitalized until I caught COVID 19 and was admitted to a hospital ER for treatment. After the ER I was eventually sent to Kindred Clear Lake to continue my recovery. My first several days here I was very sick and don’t remember much but I do remember how safe I felt and how often I knew people were in and out of my room checking on me. The hardest part of this recovery has been my breathing. The respiratory folks have been very attentive and very available if I ever need them and to answer my many questions. All of the nurses and aids have been great. Walna and Penelope stand out for how courteous, thorough and professional they are at all times. Katie, Paul and Alex from the Rehab area have been very patient with me. I was/am very weak from being in bed for so long but they have been persistently working with me to rebuild my strength. Olivia from the speech department really did a great job of making sure I was safe to have my breathing tube out and start to swallow and talk again.
EVERYTHING here is done professionally! I was checked on frequently and my pain level and comfort were top priority. People were constantly poking their heads in my door just to say hi or see if I needed anything.
For my one and only and (hopefully) last hospital stay this has been as good as it could be!
