My 87 year old mother called this place for a quote on getting her dog and cat spayed and neutered. They quoted her a price of 140 for the dog and 70 for the cat. They also said that rabies shots would be required at a rate of $20.15 each. The total for both was $215.30 which seemed reasonable. She made the appointment for later in the week. The next day, they e-mailed her a contract with instructions for her to sign and send back immediately instead of just bringing in at the time of the appointment. This seemed strange to me so I decided to read the fine print. Had I not done this...my mother would have signed and agreed to pay them a total of $666.10! They added misc. things like sutures and IVs as separate charges instead of including them in the price of the actual spay and neuter. They added so many "incidental" charges that the dog's neuter went from $140 to $345.50. The cat's spay went from $70 to $320.60. To give you an idea of how ridiculous and outrageous these prices are...I found her another location 4 miles away that performed the exact same procedures on both animals for a grand total of $185.15 These are unfair, unethical, and deceptive business practices. Doing it to an 87 year old woman borders on elder abuse. They should be ashamed of themselves.
