My best friend in the world, my dog, trusted me, I in turn trusted VCA Animal Hospital. My regular vet had recommended them as they had a neurologist on staff that could perhaps discover the cause of my golden retrievers paralyized rear legs. I was given a tour, told of the 24hr Emergency hospital capabilities and lead to believe my boy was in good hands. $5,000 later the Dr could only tell me what he didnt have, not what he had. A couple nights later I saw that my boy was breathing shallow and his gums pale. I called the Emergency line at VCA and the Dr that was working that night answered. I explained his symptoms, told her he was a patient there. She said to bring him in right away. I told her I would be there in 15-20 mins and that he weighed about 75lbs and was too heavy for me to carry up to the 2nd floor Emergency room. She told me that she would have two orderlies waiting with a gurney in the parking lot when we got there. While enroute I called again, a woman in charg
