Businiess name:  Panos Kleftiko Greek Taverna
Review by:  Sarah P.
Review content:
If you think authentic Greek food is just gyros and hummus, it's time to visit Panos Kleftiko. It's barely noticeable on 5th Ave North in Lower Queen Anne, but it's kind of better that way. Because it's only 10 tables, it gets a little hairy on the waiting list on weekends. It's really worth the wait, thought. Panos is the chef and makes all the food from scratch. Choose from chicken, lamb or seafood dinners, or do as the Greeks do and order a bunch of mezzes - small plates to share. I'd definitely suggest the kopanisti and baked feta. Honestly, I haven't had anything on the menu I didn't love. They have a good wine list as well, with several by-the-glass options, and like everything else on the menu, they give you a heft pour. All the food is served family style as Panos makes it, so if it's fast food you're looking for, better try Sushi Land on the corner. If you're looking for the best Greek food this side of the Atlantic, eat at Panos!
