I have to admit, I was a little scared to use the service, because all of the reviews I read were carpet cleaning reviews, and what I needed was stain removal of a rather large stain on an upholstered wood-frame bench. The upholstery covering the seat was a velvety geometric-cut fabric. I didn't even know exactly what the source of the stain was, because it was left by another service man setting what was obviously a very dirty box on the bench, and I couldn't get an answer back as to what might have caused it, so I wasn't sure if it was an oil-based stain or something else. Colonial wouldn't guarantee results (not knowing what the source of the stain was), but I decided to take the chance and go ahead with it. Not only was the method completely odor-free, non-toxic and fast, the stain came completely out. My bench looks brand new again. I will have no hesitation to use Colonial Chem-Dry again.
