Plumbing technician Kevin was very good. He explained things well, showed me photo of defective piping and efficiently accomplished the needed repairs. Leslie in the office was also excellent in handling the appointment, calling me often to explain delays and to assure me that the next available technician would respond. This kind of communications is appreciated.
Glenn, the salesman, is when things went poorly for Mike Counsil Plumbing. Kevin summoned Glenn to discuss post-repair options. The only option I was interested in was the cost of a new lateral sewer line from house to street. Glenn had bigger things in mind though and presented a $22K option and a $15K option, both figures having to do with much more work than the sewer pipe. His sales technique, very much like that of a new car dealership salesperson, did no favors for the image of Mike Counsil Plumbing. The presentation urged me to look at other companies for bids. Glenn started with high figures and hinted that the numbers could be worked a bit. Mike Counsil may like this effort to pull in bigger jobs with higher return$, but the presentation was a put-off on my end. It instilled distrust, suspicion.
I'm satisfied to make this review directly to the company, rather than posting it to Yelp, which would do the company no favors.
