My sister awoke last weekend to find her normally-perky poodle, Jack, laying still on her bed. She helped him off the bed while he whimpered and held his back in an odd arched position. When she let him out to relieve himself, he just laid down on the lawn.\r

She carried him into Oradell Animal Hospital because Jack's condition alarmed her. The doctor gave him a steroid shot - said the problem might be in his spine. Then he gave her this psychological sucker punch: "If he is not improved by Monday, call me because then we will have a true emergency."\r

The message was clear: "You should not have bothered me"\r
\r
Shame on this doctor!
